SOCIAL drives change through transformative initiatives that address diverse societal needs. 

 

These initiatives underscore our commitment to creating positive, sustainable impact on communities, as detailed below:

 

1. SAAPLING Initiative:

Overview: The core aim of SAAPLING (SOCIAL Aid Assistance Program for Local Initiatives and National Growth), which is implemented by the Steering Committees of SOCIAL, is to simplify the administrative burden for NGOs by offering cost-effective solutions for essential tasks such as obtaining 12A, 80G, CSR 1, FCRA, Annual Report, Audit Report, ITR, departmental registrations in government departments, DPR (Detailed Project Report) Making, NITI Aayog Registration, MSME Registration, hand holding in project research, application and other allied procedures, and more along with capacity building measures to decrease their dependence on outside sources for small tasks.

Impact: Empowering NGOs, facilitating accessibility, increasing efficiency and making administrative tasks more affordable.

 

2. NEGC (National Employment Generation Campaign):

Overview: NEGC is an MSME-based model focused on promoting agricultural goods and products manufactured by women-led SHGs, training farmers, women and youth, manufacturing food products through value addition of farm produce, establishing a cold storage chain, popularising refrigerated transport services, eliminating middlemen, incorporating modern technology, and facilitating greater export opportunities. 

Impact: The proposed campaign aims to empower farmers, women and youth, enhance their income and living standards, and contribute to India’s economic growth.

 

3. Mission MARS (Market Analysis, Research and Survey):

Overview: Mission MARS is a comprehensive market analysis research and survey initiative aimed at periodically studying the entire chain of the agricultural and SHG goods markets, including logistics and financial aspects, with a focus on women, farmers, middlemen, and various other agencies involved in the process. The mission seeks to identify the pros and cons of the existing market system and provide solutions to the difficulties faced by stakeholders in this complex ecosystem and document the progress regarding the same in an annual report published at the end of every financial year.

Impact: This initiative significantly enhances understanding and addresses challenges within agricultural and SHG markets, fostering inclusive solutions and facilitating informed decision-making for all stakeholders.

 

4. Yuva Sangam: Festival of Youth

Overview: SOCIAL believes that the creative ability of the youth community, along with their intellectual and athletic abilities, has unforeseen potential for the constructive transformation in the personality of young individuals and the persona of the youth community as a whole benefiting the country as a result of employment as well as self employment generation through the promotion of arts, culture, music and literary skills of the youth community, especially for the rural youth community.

 

For this purpose SOCIAL has initiated the development of one of its kind, annually conducted Festival of Youth by the name of “Yuva Sangam”. This Annual youth festival comprises of a wide range of competitions for singing, dancing, photography, right upto fashion show and E-Sports.

Impact: Yuva Sangam harnesses the diverse talents of youth, particularly from rural areas, fostering personal growth and community development through creative expression and skill-building competitions, ultimately contributing to employment and self-employment opportunities in arts, culture, and e-sports..

 

5. Parivartan: Shaping Future. Together

Overview: ‘Parivartan’, an annual intellectual conclave, is a powerhouse of transformative discussions. It serves as a crucible for empowering youth and women voices, providing a stage where youth, women and expert personalities converge. At state and national levels, participants engage in thought-provoking dialogues on topics spanning the economy, international affairs, women’s rights, child rights, environment, employment, and broader national societal issues. The ultimate goal is to shape ‘Parivartan’ into an independent think tank, contributing to the formulation of national opinions within a global context and give a platform to the potential youth and women leaders of our country to express/shape their opinions, thereby contributing to their overall leadership development.

Impact: Parivartan empowers youth and women to shape national opinions, serving as a pivotal platform for leadership development and fostering impactful discussions on diverse issues.

 

6. Josh: We Are One

Overview: Josh is a platform wherein the youth can participate and showcase their athletic abilities at the State and National Level and get recognition in the fields of 100M Race, 200M Race, Relay Race, Discus Throw, Javelin Throw, etc and also in the fields of Cricket, Football, Hockey, Kabaddi, Kho Kho, Volleyball, and Badminton. This mega athletic event, to unearth the rural and urban athletic talents, will be conducted at the state/UT and national level and will see the participation of urban talents, as well as rural talents, thereby, developing ‘Josh’ as a platform for the unearthing of urban and more importantly rural talents and giving them an opportunity/platform to perform.

Impact: Josh offers a national platform for youth to showcase athletic talents in various sports, providing career opportunities and fostering talent recognition, particularly for rural athletes, thereby contributing to national sports development.

 

7. Nibandh Sangam: India Writes Together

Overview: Nibandh Sangam is a nationwide essay writing competition aimed at college-going students. The competition operates at both state and national levels and is conducted entirely online. Participants register and submit their essays electronically, which are then evaluated by subject experts. Winners receive e-certificates and prize money at both state and national levels. Starting in 2024, the initiative will expand to include essay competitions in multiple languages Indian languages, like Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malyalam, Marathi, Gurmukhi, Bengali, Sanskrit, etc, apart from English and Hindi, further broadening participation and promoting linguistic diversity.

Impact: Nibandh Sangam promotes literacy, national integration, and youth engagement through diverse linguistic participation. It fosters critical thinking, documents youth perspectives, and incentivizes literary excellence, contributing to India’s socio-cultural fabric.

 

8. Eco Action Summit

Overview: The “Eco Action Summit” is an annual initiative organized by SOCIAL. The summit aims to convene stakeholders, policymakers, NGOs, corporate bodies, environmentalists, and activists on a common platform to address critical issues related to environmental conservation, wildlife preservation, and green energy. Through discussions and debates, participants collaborate to finalize a common minimum action plan each year, focusing on actionable agendas to be implemented nationally.

Impact: The “Eco Action Summit” convened by SOCIAL annually facilitates stakeholder collaboration, leading to informed policy formulation and actionable agendas for environmental conservation. Its emphasis on tangible outcomes ensures accountability through annual reviews, contributing to India’s ecological prosperity and influencing global environmental efforts.
